PERSONALITY
POSITIVE TRAITS. Decisive, firm. Responsible. Honest to goodness. Righteous. Born leader. Lawful. Protective. Loyal. Always attempts to keep personal and work life separate. Wise with his spending. Not easily swayed by people's words.
NEGATIVE TRAITS. Short-tempered. A little bit on the impatient side. Not a very exciting person to talk to. A blunt man with a sharp tongue.

HISTORY
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My existence is. What, you think it's not an achievement? Let me clarify, then. I've always believed that we fought as souls in a sacred place somewhere up there, and only the winners earned their places to be born as humans in this world we currently occupy. Me being here means that I'm one of the winners. Which means I'm better than all the poor unfortunate souls I've defeated with my own strength. I wouldn't consider getting the apprentice bureaucrat position an achievement - after all, everyone knows I had gotten it mostly because of my father's connections and reputation. And those who don't know it are just impressed because I'm still young, not because of my apparent capabilities. That is all.
What is your most marked characteristic?
...My temper. I can get angry by the slightest disturbance to my plans and comfort. People have complained about this before, but I don't care and don't want to care at all. It's me, it makes me feel better to show it than to keep it inside for too long. Holding my anger back feels too painful.
When and where were you the happiest?
In my office, in my bedroom. Wherever I'm alone. That's the only time when I can feel like I live as myself, not a son of a great public figure or a brother to a cursed son of a great public figure.
What is it that you most dislike?
...Bitter melons... They're just... A disturbance of the lawful and orderly world.
What is your greatest fear?
Dying, I guess. Or getting cursed. Or losing my position in the bureaucracy office, or seeing my family harmed. A coup d'état, or any form of rebellion that can happen, really. Anything that would disturb law and order in my life. Because... I feel like I can't do anything if those are to happen. I hate not being in control of my own surroundings.
What is your greatest regret?
...This may sound contradictory, but... Being born. Especially to a family who's much too concerned with their status. It's true, it's easy money and easy living because you don't need to do much to have almost the best in everything you need. I just know that... It's something I shouldn't have fought for back in the past. I wouldn't have wanted to win so badly if I knew living would hurt this much.
What is the quality you most like in a woman?
She must love me. And she has to be pretty, with round eyes. Have straight, long, smooth, and shiny black hair. And she has to be able to stand my harsh manner of speaking. Be able to cook my favorite dish. Put a blanket over me if I fall asleep on my desk. Has a pretty smile, like the Moon Goddess, and -- .
...What am I doing? Sorry, please forget whatever you've heard from me on this matter. It's nothing. Stop bugging me, let's just move on!
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I've got people telling me how I'm horrible in engaging in conversations with them. Basically, I think I know what they want to actually say. I'm a boring person to talk to, and I don't like that. I loathe that. I'm still learning how to be a more interesting individual to approach, but I guess... I'm going to have to try harder.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
I despise manipulators. I can recognize this type almost immediately most of the time, and I'd stab them in the face once or twice with my words. And then avoid having to associate with them.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Generosity. What you have is your own blessings, everything works under the law of our karma. Why share your hard-earned blessings with someone who clearly doesn't deserve it if he's living a more unfortunate life? He must have been a heavy class criminal in his previous life. His fault.
On what occasions do you lie?
On occasions that would benefit me and my dear friends and family, I think. Look, I don't like lying; it's not something I enjoy doing. But it would also be a lie if I tell you that I've never lied. Humans need to lie. I can even go as far as saying that lying is the bare necessity of life - more so if you're surrounded by hyenas ready to pounce at your every mistake you accidentally make. It's a protective device all humans are equipped with.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Because I can.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Well, I'd want to be someone ordinary, with no attachment to responsibilities, and try to live my life for myself for once. That'll never happen, though.
How would you like to die?
Properly. As myself, and for myself, without the involvement of unnatural factors.

PLAYER BACKGROUND. "Trapped...?"
I questioningly murmured to myself. Trapped? Here? In a strange land? By a mysterious figure claiming to be Shambala?
"Yes," the figure answered, "Trapped."
"I wasn't asking you. That was not a question."
"It means you are never going to find a way home, dear."
"...Are you deaf? Or are you just deaf? I said I wasn't --"
"You know, never going to find a way home? You can certainly go somewhere else, but you can't really go out of this realm. Just like that song, what was it -- Hotel California?" The figure cloaked in a dark robe that seemed darker than darkness and more mysterious than a box within a box gently swayed from side to side following the quiet rhythm of the classic hit by The Eagles that it hummed.
"We are programmed to receive. You can check out anytime you like; but you can never leave!"
